1812 hydro question
I have 1812 tractors, one the hydro is very smooth the other ids a touch jerky, not bad but slightly noticeable. anything that can be adjusted to smooth it out ? the fluid was changed this spring. the trunion looks good and linkages are all tight

Not sure it will help yours, but I had one that was a little jumpy and I tightened the friction disk on the lever itself. Helped a fair bit.

Thanks, that's one adjustment I think I overlooked.

Mine would jerk a little when moving from neutral position to forward. A couple things I did was add shim/washers to take out the side to side play, replaced both springs, and switched to hytran from an off brand. The problem was fixed after that but don't know what actually fixed it. I know u mentioned everything was tight so that's already out of the way.

I have an 1811 and it can be twitchy at times. It's usually is when I start out with my elbow in the air rather than on my right knee. I have found that if I over do it a tad on start up then as the tractor lurches forward , without thinking about my hand pulls back slightly on the go lever and that then makes it jerk forward again. It may not seem like you are doing that but try it with your right elbow on your right knee firmly planted when you start out and see if it helps.:beerchug:

Both tractors are using the same brand and # of hydro filter? The PO of the 1811 I have had an automotive oil filter installed and it was very jerky.
