Who has the smallest lawn and uses a tractor?

Just wondering who has the smallest lawn and uses a tractor.

I'll start, I'm on a little less than 1/4 acre, or 100 ft x 100 ft. Minus the footprint of the house, sidewalks, shed and driveway I can mow my yard in about 20-30 minutes, including trimming and using the push mower. A little overkill but I inherited my dad's 1450 with 44A mower and fixed it up. Hope to use it with other accessories and finally build a garden after years of slacking :biggrin2:

Anyone on an even smaller property?

You'll get no ribbing from me. I'm glad that you are using your dad's 1450. Even if you don't have a lot of grass to mow.
Good luck on the garden too. Mine's doing great this year.

You should see a few of the neighbors of mine. They mow 1/2 acre with 60" zero-turn mowers. It makes quick work though... so I can't fault them either.

I mow about 3/4 acres of lawn with my 129. The first three years I owned the place, I did it with a 22" cut walk-behind Toro. Actually, I still do use it for some areas of the yard, and to mow in fall...turning leaves to dust.

We have less than an acre, and my wife uses her 2130 to mow the yard.

Everything is relative,,,
an LT might be over-sized for a 1/4 acre,,, but undersized for 3/4 acre,,,
but,, it is still a tractor.

My mower is WAY over-sized for the 8 acres I cut,,, :bigthink:

The 390 sure makes the cutting fun!! :biggrin2: (90 inch wide cut)

Wow that's insane  You're right it's relative.. I used to mow my parents' yard ~2 acres with the same 1450 and 44A... it took like 3 hours, not including trimming. Eventually after I moved out, everyone got sick of mowing so they started hiring a lawn service.

Depends on who you ask, a 90 inch mower is way too small for 8 acres assuming you have wide open spaces. You got enough HP there to go with more. We wore out a couple rotary mowers behind a 454 (about 40 hp).

I can meander along in a lower gear,,, and cut 4.5 acres per hour.
If I pushed it,, the machine will easily do 6 acres per hour, but, that is too fast for the turns.

The 584 IH does not care, either way, power-wise.
The flail does not re-cut the grass like a bush-hog or lawn mower.

The finished cut is perfect at either speed.
No use rushing, I only do the mowing 3 times a year,,,

Sam Mac has one,,, I wonder if he still uses his? :bigthink:

Yep I still use it. It has gotten a workout the last couple weeks. The weather has been shall we say challenging, rain almost every day. Grass is too wet for the Cub so the Bush Hog Flail mower got the call to action. :beerchug:

3x's???? You know if we knew your vacation schedule a couple of us could sneak up your way with some bag nitrogen and alter your mowing schedule:biggrin2:
Seriously, I got to do that Sat to some of our hay land.

Back to the original poster, I have a friend (he sold me his 2072) that has a near mint 682. Ordinarily he mows his yard with a push mower--its that small of a yard. He had the 682 and the 2072, downsized the house and kept the 682. If it ever goes up for sale......:bigthink: I doubt the wife would realize if it showed up, so darn many of them here now I have to think about it hard before I can count them.
