Giant Moth!
 

I've noticed that the moths this year are in more of an abundance than I ever remember in my life. Seems like every time I enter my house, inevitably several of them come on in with me. Well, today I went out and saw this gigantic moth waiting to enter my house and chew on my favorite suit. I would like to put some moth balls out to prevent them from entering my closet, but I can never seem to get their little legs apart to get to them! Anyway, this is the biggest one I have ever seen in my area. Anyone else having the same problem this summer?

Luna moths up here have 6" wingspans,and they are green.

Corn moths are bad like when I was a kid. Cars are getting peppered at nite

They are bad here also. We have the Luna moths as well.

I've never seen one of those before. Your moths are definitely purdier than my moths, but I still like my wardrobe better! I remember accidentally swallowing one while mowing on my 73 while yodeling away :biggrin2:. At the time I nearly died choking and gagging. Now I look back and laugh. No more yodeling while mowing, though. Can't imagine choking on a luna one with 6" wingspan.

These guys seem to show up around work every so often, a little smaller than the average hand but still a big moth nonetheless.

Ha Ha Ha, never rode a motorcycle did ya. Mike:biggrin2: PS we have lots of the big green ones and other large ones.

I have a nephew about 8 yrs younger than I am, i remember stoopin to fill up the truck one night awhile back while he was with me and a giant moth flying around the pump lights landed, I bet him 5$ he wouldn't eat it, I lost my 5$ and almost my dinner along with it!!

I think you need to video you yodelling whilst mowing grass. You could start a new rave!!!
