Greetings from Kansas
New to the site and proud owner of a 782. It was given to me with the condition of getting it running again. Original motor ran out of oil and locked up. So they had a local guy put a new 25 Hp Kohler V-twin in it. Ran for a few hours but then the hydro stopped working and then it sat in the shed for the last 15 years. I brought it into my garage and got it to fire up easy enough but it wouldn't move as they stated but I could hear a faint whine. Drained the oil and removed the filter that looked to be from the factory. It was so plugged up no wonder the poor thing couldn't move. New filter and oil and i was back in business. Only parts its missing is the grill and side panels which they say are around somewhere. Came with the 44 in mower deck and a 1A tiller. Learned a lot from reading here so thanks guys! Got the mower deck back into shape and just need to get the tiller freshened up.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I live by Hesston where I work for MF, the other color red lol. Its a great tractor and I have say way better than some newer ones. It has a couple dings in the hood but overall pretty good. The paint is kinda faded but for now I plan to leave it as it is and maybe full restoration down the road. I did some painting on the deck and around the battery box to slow down the rust. Trying to get it nice looking without the new paint sticking out too much. Here is what it looks like now.
