Ive been looking for something like this ALONG time.... my Pop ran a Cockshutt Service Center when I was a kid so this is going back to where I first turned a wrench. It was driven to the spot shown a few years ago when the PO bought a larger tractor, hasnt been touched since, its complete, the oil looks good, controls all move, fel is just a bonus, I picked it up today for $500...HappyHappy;)

Very nice looking. You'd never have bought it for that kind of money around here! Good deal I'd say. Think it will be good to go with cleaning out the fuel and ignition systems?

Hey, nice pick up. Hope it's all intact and running soon. Cockshutt had some cool tractors.

Thx guys, next year our local show is featuring Canadian built tractors so Im excited to get this one with plenty of time to get it running, and Maybe, if things go real well I might even enter it in the antique pulls, never tried that before but Im sure it would be fun;)

So today a gent shows up wanting to look at GTs I have for sale, thats always good.... turns out he has a Cockshutt 40 on his farm, runs but has tranny issues and he interested in trades, thats Really Good.... One Problem, only thing that I have that seems to interest him is my Loboys, That Is Not Good :(
Im gonna go check out his farm and his tractor this weekend, Im hoping to convince him that the Allis Chalmers 917 that Ive been working on is all he needs, he doesnt seem to think a GT is big enough but he's been using a newer Craftsman so thats not really in the same league as this AC I dont even know what price to put on these Loboys as a pair, I got them both very cheap but neither were running at the time, now theres one running tractor with a mower deck and a nearly complete parts tractor with a 3pt hitch. If I sell them, I would have to keep the AC at least until I find another mower, but I think I can get $1800 or maybe even more if I finish off the AC nicely and sell it once we get snow. Decisions, Decisions...hmmmm |
