Am I Missing Something?

I was putting primer on this push blade, and got to thinking, am I missing a part to put it on my 124? I have the long Rod that picks it up, but does it have that long piece that goes under the tractor?

looks like someone converted it to a QA bracket in place of the long sub-frame.

So I just use what's there? Remember, I am new at this.:biggrin2:

Yeah, it looks like someone has "modified" the mounting system.

The part with the "forks" should not be there, nor should the part that's welded to the "A" frame.

We're not gonna beat you up just because this is something you've never done before, if this was your third or fourth one and you're still asking the same questions, then we would start to worry.

Without the long subframe (#22) I fear that you will break something with what you have there. Others may disagree.

I wouldn't use it like that without the braces going to the back

neither would i, just seems like to much stress would be put on the qa mounts.

edit - if you plan to use it anyway you should mount it to the tractor to make sure you have the correct angle on the a frame, with the plow down on the ground the a frame should be level or just a bit down in the front. if you have to much downward angle the plow will dig in to much and if the rear is down to low the plow wont dig in enough and will want to float on the snow.

What do I need to make it right?

From what I can see you'll need the undercarriage (#22) and possibly a pin/rod to go through part #16 for the undercarriage to attach to (if it's missing or has been cut off).

For Clarence, you may need to get rid of all the stuff they welded onto part #16.

I think I need to get the 124 out of storage and see what's under it. The part 22 could be there?

When #22 is installed are the u-slots that go around the rockshaft "bottomed out" against the rockshaft or just bouncing around the rockshaft?

I am thinking if not bottomed out, the QA set up might be useable if the pivot point for #16 is still in the correct spot.

And you utilize the open bolt holes in the QA bracket.

But the QA setup might have a tendency to lift the front end up when pushing too hard.
