Sediment Bowl
What's the proper way to tighten the sediment bowl on the gas tank? When I screw it in, it's not tight, but you can't go another complete turn. It is leaking because of this. I just noticed this yesterday, when I saw gas on my new paint. The paint wasn't hard enough, and it just rubbed off. I know there's a way, but I can't figure it out. :bash2: BTW, this is on my O.

There should be flats next to the threads to put a wrench on. The threads are aluminum and you should be able to get another turn on it with a wrench. Make sure to thread tape it as well and wrap the tape in the direction of the threads otherwise it will just unwind the tape.:beerchug:

Teflon thread tape . Any hardware store will have it. It's about a buck a roll. About two full wraps with the tape and you should be good to go.

I think the tape will help a little. I will just have to drain the tank, and take the bowl off and try again.

When you wrap the teflon tape make sure you wrap it tight and wrap it in the direction the threads are going.:beerchug:
