Creeper

I have always wanted a creeper for my Original, but have a question. It doesn't have the hole for the shifter and 2nd, is the wheelbase the same? Seems to me if you add something in the drive train, it will be longer? :bigthink:

I have that manual Sam. I don't see the answers there? Am I missing something?

You need to cut/find a shorter driveshaft.

I have one and a Danco creeper. I think what Sam is telling me is how to separate the tractor? I assume you just separate it and add the creeper. But then you have to cut a hole in the housing for the stick? I just can't wrap my mind around the fact that if I add something in the driveline, it should make it longer? And I should have said deteriorating mind. Wait a minute, the shorter driveshaft difference takes the slack?

You will have to cut a hole since you have an earlier tractor, pull the clutch out, remove the 2 bottom bolts that hold to rear to the frame and bolt it on.

I thought the info was in the service manual but I was wrong. You will need to shorten the drive shaft to accommodate the length of the creeper, you'll need to cut the hole for the shift lever. Sorry but I don't have a creeper so I can't give you more info. Others that have them will probably chime in. Just wondering why you want a creeper? To me it just more stuff to go wrong.
