Will this snowthrower fit my 102?

If so, is there anything else I need to procure?

I would say Yes. You probably will want to read/download this....

There should be a bracket to support the chute adjuster rod. Can't tell in the picture if it's there.
Also need the attachment that goes on your lift arm that the lift rod from the thrower attaches to.
Can't tell from that side of the tractor if you have one.
Then you are gonna need chains & wheel weights.
Oh, and a nice warm tossle cap & goggles.
A flask of Crown Royal wouldn't hurt either.

Yes it will, but some might say that it will be underpowered with a 10 hp engine with a 42" snow thrower. Many think that the 7-10 hp work best with a 36" snow thrower.

You'll also need a creeper.

All I can add is you have a very nice 102!:beerchug:

I went with a 36 inch on my 102, I figure if it can handle the snow without any problems I'll add a set of snow blower wings to it later....

I also agree by having a creeper gear.

Here a link for the wings, about mid way down the page. http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part...w%20Blower.htm

creeper....

I think you guys are saying that this blower is a bit large for my 10hp, and further that I might find 1st gear is still too fast.

I figure RPMS will be high to keep this snowblower performing, and that might exacerbate the issues associate with the lack of a creeper.

Do I have that about right?

Your 10hp will run it fine. You will need a creeper.

I ran a 36 inch blower on my 102 for many years. My 102 has a creeper and I am glad it did as anything over a few inches of snow did not bog down the engine but plugged the blower. I do not use the 102 any more for snow removal as I have a couple supers with either a blade or a 2 stage blower and a hydro tranny. A manual tranny without a creeper will work but not without a lot of forward and back maneuvers.

Just curious....but did you perform any mod's to the 36 snowthrower to increase performance?

From my understanding 3 mod's can be performed to help with snow throwing and chute blockage..
