Cyclops plastic
2 Attachment(s)
I just looked at Parts Tree while ago for complete plastic front end replacement
parts. You are looking at roughly $800 to replace everything still available. Based on the prices of available stuff, the parts not available would probably set you back another $150 if you could still get them! Such a deal! I feel really lucky getting this Cyclops the other day for $145 that had a complete front end on it with no damage whatsoever and all complete. No engine, no deck. Normally, I wouldn't think of giving that much but.............. I have a Super Cub that had no front end and now it does. Here is the link to the front end. http://louisville.craigslist.org/grd/5867080911.html Here is the Super. I changed it over to a Briggs Vanguard. |
I remember when you bought that Cub, 1782 right? Let's see some pic's of the finished Cub.

If I knew where a bunch of cyclops plastic is, that's in good shape is it worth grabbing then??? It fills this whole trailer and was disassembled, (not broken) I just never really liked them and never figured plastic pieces to be worth $ but maybe I'll grab It and post it here....not trying to get rich either....

I'll let someone else answer your question but I've bought 3-4 whole tractors just to get good plastic.
I've seen good tractors sell cheap just because they had the plastic broken. If you don't like a Cyclops to cut grass with, that probably means you haven't tried one.:biggrin2: |

Mjsoldcub - if you do grab that plastic, please keep us in mind. I am in need of a hood and both sides. Just spent the big dollar for a new replacement grill and inserts. That's all that stands between me and one darn nice cyclops for fair money.

And I might want some super smoker sides or make the right out of a good one. My left has a hole in it so someone could check the oil easier. Thanks MJ

I'm missing the whole frontend on my 1862. it was in a dealer that burnt. keep thinking I"m going to buy a whole machine for the parts but none have come up since I got this one.

I just bought this one a month ago. Only for the plastic and it was perfect.
I was going to use the plastic on another Super I bought but changed my mind when I bought an 1864 a couple weeks ago. It was one of those nice tractors, no rust, 54" mower. A trade in. The owner towed it backwards on a trailer to get his new mower and the hood flew up and wiped out everything. So, the 1864 was cheap and the other cheap one made a nice tractor. They're still out there if you have patience but I am finding them hard to come by in the last year. |
