Fuel bowl gaskets?

Hey guys, went to start my cub and gas was shut off. Turned it on and was leaking around settlement bowl. Pulled it apart to find what looks like a screen sandwiched between 2 gaskets. Is this correct? Went to napa and got gasket before i took it apart (at closing time) but he only gave me one gasket. I tried it infront of screen and it still leaked, pretty good so tried swapping and putting screen in first and it leacked worse. The last settlement bowl i messed with was on a JD crawler and there was no screen and gasket was rubber. Any help is appreciated as always!!

Screen goes first, then the gasket. Gasket should rest on the glass bowl. If it still leaks, either the sediment bowl is junk, or you did something wrong. Try it again, or replace the whole assembly. Napa can get them for like $24. They are cheaper online, or from other part stores.

Thanks Jon.

I have seen the cork gaskets deteriorate and leave chunks stuck on the metal part, so double check that all is clean. The packing gland on the valve isn't leaking is it? Sometimes you can snug them up a bit. Like Jon said, they aren't real expensive so I agree to change one out before having one dripping gas everywhere!

I had one that the pot metal warped from the clamp around the bowl.
