I'm new to this and the guy I got my 102 from said this will work on - can you verify?

That's the wrong subframe. Looks like it's for a QA wide frame. I would say look for another one unless that one is super cheap and then get the correct subframe. You need a narrow frame bolt on subframe

Just leave the quick attach pins on ( as in "don't cut them off" ) and bolt it on. That's what I did using my front blade on my former 122. I also used my QA-42 snow thrower on the 122 by bolting it on
