hi guys--marv in iowa--buddy have 1862 power steering tractor that acts like it has no power steering--is this a steering box issue--thanks

Does the hydraulic lift work?
Change any hoses lately? How long has it been since the rear end oil and filter has been changed?
Let's not jump straight to the most complicated and expensive part....
