Bolens convert from Pennsylvania
Hello everyone! Glad to be here. I was a die hard Bolens fan until my new neighbor started talking to me about Kohler engines and cubs- he has a couple for sale and I might buy one- I'm not sure where to begin here so I'll end it here and read some posts. Thanks all!

Hello there! Welcome to OCC!
Those old Bolens through Husky garden tractors are a fine, well built one too! However, our IH, CCC, and MTD Cub Cadets preform just as well, and better in most areas of use. You will love the IH Cub Cadets!!!! Since you are new to the brand, you can find yourself a copy of "50 Years Of Cub Cadet", by author Oscar H. Will for about $9.99. Just got mine for Christmas, and wow!, what a lot of information in this book! Further more, the enthusiast here at Only Cub Cadets are very helpful, and keep a sharp pencil when it comes to the help you will find, and tractor experience! So, dig in, and enjoy the forums!!! Thanks, John |
Thanks John I appreciate that! I will keep one of the bolens but I'm making room for a cub. I'll keep an eye out for that book as well! Sounds like a good read. I've been reading what I can online.

Welcome aboard from the middle of US. Enjoy the stay.

Wow you guys have a lot of toys!😀 Thanks! I kind of like the 582. What's a fair price to pay? I don't need a running one
|
Bolens are pretty cool tractors too, of course my preference is for IH cadets. Ballpark for a good condition, operable 582 is generally $500. 82 series are awesome

Welcome to OCC. Just my 2 cents but I'd look for something with a Kohler, the 582 has a Brigg's and it's not the most reliable engine that Cub ever used. :beerchug:

Welcome to OCC. My favorite Cub is my 782 that I replaced the KT-17 with a CH20, added power steering and 3 point hitch.
