Lugs + chains
 

My drive has a tendency to ice over. The storms this week left a foot + of snow then a layer of sheer ice underneath on top of the pavement.

Turfs and chains tend to spin on the icy pavement. Plus, my lot here in New England has a lot of granite and if pulling a hill and hit a rock (always) it just spins on the chains.

So I had been running TruPowers, loaded, with two sets of IH weights (same as the turfs). But with the deep snow put the 450 blower on and the weight turns the 782 into a pig.

Frustrated I had an extra set of chains and put them on the TruPowers and I have to say, best combination yet. It made all the difference in getting some bite.

(probably this has been beat to death but thought I would share the recent cub snow battle experience)

cool, glad it works for you. where in mass are you? western mass just got a big bunch of snow.
