1864 Hydro

I just got an 1864 that I bought for parts, but I may fix it up. I was wondering if the hydro and drive shaft will work in my 782 with Command engine. My 782 has a lot of whine while the 1864 is quiet.

The hydro and drive shaft will fit in the 782 with a CH. Personally I'd fix up the 1864. Power steering, tilt wheel just a lot nicer machine to operate.

I wondered if a member on here bought that 1864. I seen it on craigslist and thought it would make a good parts tractor. As Sam said the rear and driveshaft will work in the 782. Also may want to consider the super steer front axle and power steering. I have a command 20, the super steer axle and power steering in the wife's 782 and it is a great driving tractor. If you want to check out our 782 I live in Defiance. Send me a pm with your phone # and we can chat.

Tom, my 782 is set up as you describe yours, I love the red and am not excited about all of the plastic, I like steel much better. If I ever get out your way I'll get in touch and look you up.

Thanks for the info Sam, but the plastic is all shot and the PTO is missing along with no deck. I'm sticking with the 782.

Xtreme for a PTO https://xtremeope.com/ , take the deck off the 782 and plastic is no big deal or do like I did with these 2. I just love stirring the pot. :biggrin2:
