My "New" Mower Deck
 

I found this mower deck while trying to find my cat and take him inside and found it. The deck was right across the street, in the dirt, neglected, But FREE. The lot is about 1/10 mile from the house (long driveway) and across a street. The story goes that he was a baseball coach and the school bought a cub for maintaining the field. They didn't want the deck so he took it to his lot and set it there. The deck is actally pretty cleanish and has a few pitts on the underside, the deck hangers have very little wear and the spindles are stiff but are loose, I want to put in some grease before I try more. I have started to remove covers and the lift, also clean it up.

why cant I find those kind of deals? My most recent deck was an EPay find for $50 ("only") and I'm trying to figure out how to get it to IL without having to make a road trip to southern KY...EPay priced $100 less than any other complete deck I saw on there.... heck there are idiots on there wanting $249 for 3 used spindles and used blades with no shell....
I could use a triangle deck like that I have one here that I think has good spindles and such but the shell is SHOT. I also have a nice 50A bare shell but no reinforcement plate or spindles or pulleys to assemble it with....
I see 2 44a/44c's on CL right now, one $75 and another $100, one a 300 mile round trip away, the other 300 miles each way.

Grease gun
 

I need to get my darn grease gun working first tonight.

I am dissasembling it to clean it completely, sandblast it, assemble it, paint it.
I have another parts deck to fix some parts on it.

How do you break a grease gun?

Spend too much time at the gym?

We bought one at work from a chain parts store--darn thing was $25 and leaks EVERYWHERE.:bash2: Decided I would order a real one--prices start at $50 and go up. Who knew grease guns were such precision instruments.:bigeyes:
