I enjoy going into the big box stores and rapping on the top of the hoods; so many of them are just plastic (which makes me chuckle.) Then I try the steering (which is often almost as worn out feeling as my 47 Y.O machine) and sometimes I rap on the mower deck (then chuckle cuz my 147 has more tin on the hood than they have on the mower deck.)

I hear you on the plastic hoods of the new stuff. But I have eyed the new plastic hoods wondering what it would take to put one on a roached out Cyclops. :bigthink::bigthink:
