16x6.50-8 tri ribs
Looking for a set for my 782. Just got back from tilling a garden and getting tired of spraying out the Carlisle turfs on the front and rear. Want to go with a lug tire in the rear and tri ribs up front, the only thing this tractor does is till. Got sticker shock when pricing the front tires, their more than the rears! Anyone run this size in tri ribs, where'd you get them at?

Miller is the only place to get them, they're made specially for them. I bought mine off Miller's store on eBay and got a slightly better price.

Looking at Miller's eBay site can buy one for $70 plus $15.94 shipping. You can buy 2 for $180 and free shipping. Might as well buy 2 seperate instead of the pair. CC Specialies has them for $160 a pair plus $10 shipping.

You could put a set of lugs on the front for a bunch cheaper. Probably still better than turfs.

A pair of lugs for the front should cost you around $60 or about 1/3 of the price. The steering benefits are very comparable with the lugs and "the look" will still be there with lugs on the front. I cannot justify going with the tri ribs for the front at that price, myself.

Thanks for the help fellas, yep, been checking out millers guess they can pretty much set their price. I saw the 5 rib V61s are $20 cheaper, I was gonna order 2 but of course their out of stock. I just can't bring myself to put the lug tires on the front, I wouldn't be happy with it. Now if it was four wheel drive like my kubota then that'd be fine but just seems weird to me to have ags on the front of a 2wd tractor plus I like the old farm tractor look. I have Deestone 4.00x8 tri ribs on a couple and really like them a lot and they were inexpensive. If the 5 rib get stocked soon ill order them was hoping to get something this week

I'm looking for V61's also. Web site says back in stock mid to late April.

Why buy tri ribs when you can get the V61's for much less?:bigthink:
16x6.50-8 V61 HD 5-Rib 170/60-8 6 ply $52.00 Take a look at what I have on the front of my 149, they seem to work just fine for tilling. :beerchug: |
It would be kewl if there was someone that made skinny front rims that can be used on the 782.
Is it possible to remove the center hub from a 70 and replace it with one from a 1211? |
