Bearing Part Numbers for 3000 Series Decks

I have/maintain four 3000 Series Tractors(and have a 3165 with bad motor for parts)

One is used by me, one by my father, and one by my brother. The other is a backup/spare.

Three of the tractors have the newer style spindles with the shaft having a hex at the top.

My spindles/pulleys are currently in good shape, but at some point I will need to repair/replace so I would like to order some parts to have them available when the need arises.

What bearing # will work in the Idler Pulleys?

What bearing # will work in the deck spindles?

What is the part # of the bare spindle?

I need the #s, but would also appreciate links to places where I can purchase online.

Thanks, Joel

Welcome to OCC!

Here is a link to the Cub Cadet parts look up site:

Type in your model number. Find the deck in question under attachments. There will be complete parts break down list and diagram.

Thanks, I may not be using it properly. I can find part number for spindle assembly, but don't see # for just the bearings

Joel, I have all the aftermarket numbers you need. Do you know what model decks you have? Cub changed the spindle design on the newer decks.

OAK, my primary mowers have the newer style decks.

Two 54" Decks: 190-295-100

One 60" Deck: 190-291-100

My parts mower and my backup mower have the old style decks.

48" Deck: 100-289-100

54" Deck: 100-290-100

I would like to to have bearing part #s for ALL of them, but especially the new style.

I would also like to have the part # for the bare spindle housing on the new style.

Thanks, Joel

I think this is what I used for the housing. You may want to check with them and see if it will work.

Thanks for the info.

I tore apart an Idler Pulley(60" Deck, Cub Cadet PN 756-3062) and took the bearing to a local parts store.

National 203-FF looks to be identical.

It appears that 6203-2RS interchanges and is much cheaper. Ebay has as cheap as $20 for 20

Any bearing brands to recommend or avoid?

I picked up a sleeve of them off of Ebay pretty cheap. Once you get the cut open they should be easy to replace if you have too.

At $1.40 each I think it would be hard to beat this deal.
