1604 & 50A deck?
Hello all. I need some help...
I just bought a CCC 1604 since I just bought a house with 3 acres and grass is getting out of hand here in PA. The tracker came with a 50A deck (not attached) and scissor lift mount but the deck definitely doesn't seem to fit the lift. My lift arms where my spring pins would connect bottom out on the top of the deck preventing the spring pins from aligning up. My question is will this deck even fit? I've seen pictures where lifts arms curve downwards for clearance between the deck and lift - Do I have the wrong scissor lift? I believe the 1604 is AKA the 580 Thank you for any input! |
Welcome to OCC!
The "scissor lift is called a "mule drive":beerchug: Some pix of what you have would be helpful to us. Someone will be along in a bit to help more. |

These are the mower decks available for the 1604.
The 50A and 50C mower decks are identical EXCEPT for the PTO Drive Pulley. The 50A uses a 3/8" belt while the 50C uses a 5/8" belt. Simply change the pulley to the one found on a 50C, and you should be good to go. |
Was this the 1604 listed on the Harrisburg Craigslist?

Yes this was listed about 45 minutes from Harrisburg in Tower City. Why?
I attached a picture of the deck and where the Mule drive rubs circled in red. It contacts the lower belt cover and the PTO Drive Pulley.. Even if I replace the PTO Drive Pulley, I believe the Mule drive would still contact the pulley unless it's a smaller diameter which I doubt. I think I have the wrong mule drive? Do I need one that curves down for additional clearance and is that called something different? Thank again all! |

I believe the add did say 44" and I think the guy just forgot what he had.
I'm not positive I have the right Mule Drive. I was hoping for a little insight from here... The guy swears up and down he used this setup last year - I physically don't see how it's possible. I can forcefully get this deck on but deck height adjustments are very limited and I feel this pulley would be damaged if the deck was raised high enough. Form pictures I've seen on here and other locations, I think there's a Mule drive model that curves down for additional clearance that might work for this? Pictures I've seen aren't centered on the deck so it hard to tell.. |

Here's a pic of what your undercarriage should look like, notice it's arched to clear the deck.

Does your mule drive look like this one?
