Paint for my 149

I am having trouble finding the right white paint for my 149. The paint codes I have found have been able to be mixed, but they are just too white-not creamy white line it should be. Has anyone tried the Ford color- Winbleton white? I am using the base/clear method. Any help with a brand of paint or something would be helpful. Maybe this Ford color would be close enough

IIRC Wimbledon white is pretty white.

I would be curious to know as well. It's the same thing with Oliver. I ended up getting the clover white (which is a creamy color) at an Agco dealer. Regular white just doesn't look right.

CaseIH 935 white
About $35/qt at any Case IH dealer

Can I shoot clear right over it?

Yes, once you spray the last coat of white on wait about 45 minutes and then clear. I've used both PPG and Dupont over the Case/IH paint without issue.

99% of that don't mix brands crap comes straight from the manufacturers themselves because if you're mixing brands then you're not spending as much with them. I mix brands all the time and I've never seen anything bad happen.

i concur.....most of them all contain the same stuff...still cant beleive ppg bought sikkens...oh well...ppg is top dog too...its more in the types of paint...say lacquers and enamels, or urethanes....some will play, some wont as far as mix and match....which can be on top of one or another or not, etc.....

As long as you aren't mixing Rust-Oleum into the mix you should be ok. Any time I have put that over anything else it lifts and cracks. Or the other way around something else on top of rustoleum.
