Just the facts please!
By no means is this intended to stir up ANYTHING political or controversial.
I've noticed lately that a LOT of news articles are released with wrong information. I'm talking news articles, not press releases from politicians or businesses, etc. I noticed 3 bad articles this week. The first was a NC congressman (could have been a senator), that evidently got overheated while running a race/marathon. It was first reported he had a heart attack and that 3 people did CPR to save him. Two hours later he himself reports from the hospital that he just got too hot--yeah, don't think someone needing CPR would be up to that 2 hours later. Then there is the fellow that drove his car into the sidewalk crowds in NY. At first it was reported he was drunk, now he wasn't. Lastly, a high school a couple hours from here suspended an honor student for breaking the dress code. Both sides agree the dress code was broken, but the media reports one account, then hours later reports another, differing account---the same news outlet doing the reporting.:bash2: Whatever happened to "Just the facts"? I used to subscribe to the newspaper, but the news was always a day old thanks to the internet. Maybe the news should be a day old, it would allow for collecting and crosschecking the stories.:bigthink: Did a quick check and the TV station I use (including internet news) serves the 24th largest area in the US, broadcasting 9.5 hours a day (includes national news and affiliate stations). I realize the out of state news is reported by others and my local station just airs it, but still, if you are THAT big, can't you get it right? Not ranting, just a bit disgusted with those "running the show". |
Oh I agree wholeheartedly. Can't believe anything reported in the news any more. Like my father used to say, "believe nothing you hear, only what you see".
But lately, it's getting harder to believe what I'm seeing.:biggrin2: Must be the generation thang. |
The media is so lazy today, and they get away with spewing whatever crap they dream up, why should they put fourth the effort to do any research before printing anything when all the libtards gobble up anything they say??

I was actually reading something about this very issue last night. (May have been a Youtube vid, I don't recall.) But it really is that the media doesn't care if they report inaccurately, just so long as they report first. It's a real problem. Without getting political, that's about all I want to ad. But I will quote our Commander in Chief: "FAKE NEWS!!"

Here is the problem in a nutshell...I am not buying into their Agenda's, Crap, and Bias. Journalism is DEAD.
