Spout for old Chilton Metal can
Hello,
I got two older metal Chilton kerosene cans that are now red as I have much more use for gasoline than kerosene. My only problem with them is that they don't have a spout (or at least any more) and they don't poor very well, and I prefer to not make a mess. I still use them as the mess that is made is comparable to the newer plastic cans anyway and the fuel seems to stay fresher in them. The cans look like this one. The cap lid is about 2 inches wide, which is wider than the Eagle spouts that are very easy to find. I was wondering if anyone knew what spout went with these cans so I can pick one up, new or used. Thank you |
2" or 1.75"??
Use Google... Here's one for a 1.75" http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-75-New-Gas...EAAOxy3yNTinj8 Here's one for a 2". Even says Chilton style.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Orig...QAAOSwDiBZEfML That took like 3 min.... |
That is my luck.
I've been searching for hours. Never came across that one, only the all plastic ones. The closest I found was EZ-Spout with an adapter, but even on their website, they say legally I can't purchase their gas adapters. Defiantly close to the 2" mark, and not close enough to be 1.75" which is very easy to find. Thank you. Already purchased. |

I've had days like that. Looked and looked for something and couldn't find it. Asked someone else to search and they found one in a couple min. It's all about the search terms. :beerchug: |
