The rod that pushes the points open does not move when I crank the engine over, removed the points and held the rob in while cranking, no movement. Any ideas ???

point lobe worn away? other problems I've seen, broken cam, badly worn or bent point rod .

will have to take it apart and see what has happened, no movement at all from points rod. Thanks for the reply !!
