Model 1 tiller
 

hello guys,first time here, I have a 1811 cub tractor and I want to attach a #1 model tiller to it, has anyone done this? I have the tiller,gear box, I don't have the belts though, hope that someone has done this before, thanks in advance:bigthink:

The #1 tiller wasn't designed to be used on an 1811. Matter of fact, the #2B was designed to work on it, if the tractor has Cat 0 3ph, and you had to have an adapter. The adapter is a rare find, and they don't make them anymore.

All that said, if you put a sleeve hitch on the 1811 off of an '82 series tractor and build an adapter plate, it can be done. I did it, and it works as it should.

thanks for the info, I welded a plate to the back, have the tiller on the tractor,now just trying to figure out how to raise and lower the thing, I can do this with a wrench but not sure if its going to work,?

Tell me you didn't weld the plate to the back.... :bash2:

You can raise it with a wrench..... what the heck are you talking about? Does your tractor have a 3ph, or a sleeve hitch on it? If not, you need one. You should really stop what you're doing until you understand what you need to make this work. And, you need to cut the plate back off, and make it a bolt on. If you ever need to remove the rear end for service (which isn't that uncommon) you're going to wish you didn't do that.

yes like a dip sh!% I tacked the plate to the back, yes I have the three pt hitch, I think that is what I have, don't know that much about these things,:bigthink:

Post a pic of the rear of the machine..... If you have a Cat 0 on it, you won't need a plate. There will already be one on it.

well I guess that I will just take the thing off and get rid of it, I don't have any pictures, wish I did, everything seems to be in decent shape, alittle rusty but seems ok, thanks guys for the advice
