Newby 782 questions

Just picked up a free 782, serial # 743534, which I believe makes it an 85. Was wondering if anyone has made a #1 or#2 tiller work with these? Also can the mower deck and front PTO be run at the same time? I was thinking of finding a rear gear box from a tiller and possibly driving a leaf vac impeller off of it. Maybe be too much load on motor? Any input is appreciated

The front PTO is what runs the Mower Deck.

Welcome to the forum!

As Roland stated, the front PTO is what runs the mower deck.
If it has a cast iron rear, a #1 or #2 tiller is made to fit it. If it has an aluminum rear, they can be made to work, but fab skills are necessary. I see the tractor has a black front axle, so it probably has the aluminum rear.
The tiller gear box likely won't work for running an impeller for a blower. Gear ratio is too slow. Impeller needs to run engine speed.
