2072/1872 PTO amature bearing

Seeing how PTO's, or pto parts, for these models are becoming harder to find, and when you do find one, ya have to take out a lone to buy it, has anyone ever tried pressing the bearing out of the armature of either of these models with any kind of success? I'd much rather pay 50 to 60 bucks for a good bearing than buy the whole PTO. :bigthink:

Yep it's been done. Guess you didn't look in the tech library http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=24413 :beerchug:

Yep. Your right. Seen some other stuff but not that. Have to use the right words in the search I guess.

Armature is what is inside a motor. The Elec PTO has a "Field Coil".

Your terminology is confusing some.

Agreed.

The bearing is in the hub, not the coil anyway.

I used the term armature because that's what the Cub Cadet manual and parts list calls it.

I agree with ya. Armature is a rotating field within a electric motor. I just wanted to be PC on this forum.
