How Much HyTran w/ new Filter
Guys, I searched hi and lo in my manuals and only found one instance where it said the Hydro Unit take 8 its of HyTran which seems way to much. I thought it was around 4 or 5 qts.
Can anyone verify the fluid amount with a new filter please?:bash2: |
Sorry, this is in my 1572 w/ Aluminum rear case

It is going to be around 7 quarts. There is a lot of reading on here on what type to get so I will not go into that.

Yep 7-8 QTS.

You make NO mention of the model of tractor you are working. Assuming you are working on a pre 1990 product, did you search here....??? http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?p=30471#post30471

Thx everyone for the confirmation.
Roland, Sorry I Forgot model 1572 in the Title, so I mentioned that it was a 1572 in the 2nd post on this thread. Thx for the link to confirm 7 to 8 qts. |
Does anyone run a 'lighter' fluid in the winter months?

If you decide to go with an alternative, there is a "303" tractor hyd fluid that is a bit heavier and causes problems in winter in some equipment. Some report it takes forever to warm up. I tried it once and quickly changed to hyguard as I had some on hand.:beerchug: |
Thx Roland, I didn’t know that
