Cub Cadet 550 lb. Heavy-duty Lawn Mower Lift
Will this be an adequate lift for a 1872 Super Garden Tractor? Anybody with first hand use experience?
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...r-lift-1222683 Looks like it would be handy for changing blades on the mower. TIA, Steve |

Yes, that would be more than enough to lift the front end of a SGT.

Steve,
I bought one of those lifts earlier this year and love it. I can lift the tractor up very high, and there is no movement or fear of it falling. It is rather heavy, and in my opinion worth it. I was amazed how much grass gets stuck in the 48" fabricated deck on my GT 2000. I use it about once a month. Great products. |

Yes I have a 50" deck on my main mower tractor now. ( 2- 50's and 2 - 60's) At 74 nothing is quick and/or easy anymore. One of the reviews said there was some interference between the lift and his GREEN deck. I guess I shouldn't be surprised when a bear and a deer get together. |
If you use a jack, please think safety. I would never crawl under anything supported by only a jack. For me, I would block under the front wheels after the tractor is lifted or cut a wood block to wedge between the scissors of the jack to prevent collapse. Yes, this lift has a "locking" bar. I would still block as a secondary support.

As one gets older, taking off a deck and putting it back on is an ordeal. The "lift" looks like it would benefit a lot of guys. |
Well I sprung for the lift and at checkout they insisted on giving me the 15% military discount on top of the already reduced price making it $135.99 plus $8.16 for the State, total $144.15.
In the video it shows it neatly collapsed and stored against an uncluttered wall. It is still in my truck until I find such a wall. Quote:
