The power museum was a good time. There were folks from all over north america camping out and running there engines, swaping parts and stories. I only saw one cadet a couple red tractors and a lot of green noise makers. Most of the permenent displays are around 100 years old and running fine. some only recently removed from service where they have been runnig constantly till now. They are working on a new display that is a 600 HP SNOW engine, thats pretty big for a hit and miss, The flywheel is 25' accross and I would quess that the whole thing is 75' long I can't wait to see it run!
The tractor pulls afterward were a blast. In the pickups run what ya brung, It came down to two gas powered trucks a chevy and a Ford the Chevy Won by a Foot in the shootout,
Then came the tractors only one class "Super farm tractors" The shootout came down to Three Internationals and one Blue machine unfourtonaly the blue one won.
Then Super modified big rigs, they were all simply awsome a cute young girl won that class by default the other two full pulls broke down. I took a camera but the rechargable battery was dead. I'm pointing my finger at my teenaged daughter, There were lots of pictures of the culprit in a mirror holding my camera!
