I mean really..... I put new tires on my wife's van within the last 18 months or so. I didn't buy cheap tires, but I didn't put Michelin's on either. I just got a decent 60/70K mile tire. I think they set me back right at $100 a piece. Read that again...... $100 for a 16" tire! Why the heck should an 8" tire cost even $70, let alone $120?? Either Miller Tire is paying through the nose to have these custom tires made, or they like to make butt loads of money on top of the custom tire. Personally, I think they are making a bit much off of them. I used to deal with Bandag tire when I ran the shop at Republic. I know what some of that stuff costs for truck tires (much larger). It's not all that expensive.

Miller may have found an existing source over seas versus having them made exclusively for Miller.
That tire is the only "Hartford" brand they list.
A google search does not show a Hartford brand tire company listing for north America.

When you are the only source for a certain item, you can price it as you please.

Maybe that tire is aimed at the mini-mod pullers?

I struggled getting the 16x6.50 tri ribs on my 782 but love how they look and how they handle. Those 18x8.50s look awesome, and would love to have them on my 982 but dang, probably looking at nearly $270 out the door for the pair.

A 6 ply tire will prolly support the tractor without air in it.
that is a lot of plies for a garden tractor, unless they need the support for a automotive type engine, & pulling weights
They are rated @ #1130, and
they are not going to mount easily.

What size?

Marko141 12-30-2017 05:50 PM

Hell if ik, I would have to check the tire size when I get home. What ever will fit on the rims I currently have on my 127.
