Caution reminder
I wanted to share my recent accident and remind everyone to use extreme caution when handling wheel weights. While rigging my hoist to lift one of my 90 lb rear wheel weights, the weight slipped and caught my right little finger between the chain and the weight. The result is a severely crushed finger at the joint closest to the fingernail, and the nail was nearly torn completely off.
This happened in an instant. The doctor said the nail will eventually grow back, but I'll probability loose the mobility of the joint. PLEASE! Everyone BE CAREFUL handling heavy objects. One split second of carelessness almost cost me a finger. |
OUCH! Hope it works out for you. :bigthink:

Ouch, that must have really smarted! Pinky swear will never be the same.
I have a jig I made for my floor jack to put my rear weights on my Farmall Cub, they are about 150 lbs each |
Glad it wasn't worse, take care.
|
Take care Stan, glad you did not lose the finger.

 |
You must of said stuff Mommy does not want to hear! Thanks for the heads up reminder!
|
Ouch, bet that felt good.

I had a pick axe head get loose on a handle once, slid down the handle and broke my thumbnail off. OUCH! Mom wasn’t proud of the words I said. Anything with smashing fingernails and fingers isn’t ever good, but thanks for the safety reminder, and hope for a speedy recovery!:beerchug:
