Ag Tire Preferences

Hey everyone, I am looking for some input on ag tires, primarily 23x8.5-12's.
I purchased a set of Deestone D405 a few years ago, but I was not impressed with the lug depth (farily shallow).
So I am interested to know what others are using and what there might be available with a more aggressive lug.

This is pretty much every tire available in that size. All the available AGs are present, except the cheap ones like Deestone.

True Powers are the most often purchased. But the Firestones are the king. Price reflects it.

I have Turpowers, but the next set I get will be Firestones. Love how they look

As far as looks and pulling the Firestones have been on top for years... you simply won't find a better looking or pulling tire. But as Jon and others stated... they are expensive!!

The tru powers look good and they pull good but I have found with their super deep lugs and squared off shoulders they tend to dig a little too hard.. If you load them and weight them heavy so they can't spin you won't have any issues and they will pull like a beast.. just don't let them spin or they will kick out two holes in just a second and you will be stuck..:biggrin2::biggrin2:

My neighbor gave me some hi-run ones that are brand new and I quickly buried my other brand tractor in a muddy barn up to the axle in no time, not weighted or anything, would have been worse had I not had the mowing deck on that tractor. I took them because they were free and my original tires were dry rotted beyond hope.

I've got a set of the Firestone 23 degree on my 149, and 1450. Had them all loaded with Rim Guard, they weigh about 80-85 lbs. each. Have a plow on the 149 and the 1450 has a loader. Never been stuck with either. I even use the 149 for clearing scrub bushes and trees in the summer. Great Tires from Millers.:IH Trusted Hand:

Bought these for my 126 a couple months ago. The depth isn't as aggressive as the Tru Powers, but for the price, I couldn't turn them down. Also, they are are 4 ply tire so keep that in mind.

I've also attached a pic of the actual tire... and no that is not me, that is my son. :biggrin2:
