My 1772 has a driveline similar to the 2072. It’s converted over. So, last night I thought I’d go for a quick ride. Went to raise the blade and it quit. Moved the hydro lever and no movement. So this is what I found!

I make replacement couplers if you want one. Both splined and smooth shaft pump input.

This is a splined one.

X2! Can’t be good enough to just put a new coupler on.
Maybe Jeff’s have more spline to engage “unused” splines IDK.

I have one of the couplers that Jeff makes for the supers. I have not used it yet but I did a test fit and it will work fine when I use it. Mine was worn but not as bad as the op's.

Edit, the shaft was not worn any at all.

I make the splined section a little longer to get to the unused portion.
