Dual circuit hydro purge
 

getting ready to start up my mechanical restoration (finally ). Everything hydro related was drained, all lines cleaned. hydro unit just drained , new fluid and filter. When upon purging a dual system do I need to purge air from the front hydraulic ports ? I do not have anything to connect to them yet, as in an angle plow .

First time you hook to the ports, perhaps many years from now, any air in the lines will self purge back to the tank.

I would stick the male counterpart in both couplings to remove the air and to clear out any dirt you may have missed.
Be careful as it will come all over the place, us a container to catch the oil.
