What Happened To Your FIRST Cub Cadet?

Today was significant for me,, I gave away the first Cub Cadet I ever purchased,,,
I bought it used in 1980, and used it for almost 2 decades,,,

It is the one on the right,,,

The Cub Cadet has a creeper drive in it, my neighbor wanted it.
The tractor was sitting in my equipment graveyard, and was in the way of my logging operation,,

This is what it looked like a decade ago when I was taking it to the graveyard,,,

So, what happened to your first ever cub Cadet? :bigthink:
Sold?
Give away?
Restored?
Scrapped?
Still using it?
Other?

Let us know the "first one" story!!

First one I drove a 1250 was traded of when I was about 10 years old first one I owned a 1000 I still have and will never part with it I bought it because I missed the 1250

My first Cub was a 1966 102. Daddy traded it for a 1811 in the spring of 1988. I wished and he wished we would have kept it. It was in perfect condition and he got 800 for it in the trade.

The first cub I ever drove was a 100 in about 1973.. dad traded up to a 125 and then to a 1450.. but in meantime he bought me my very own original and allowed me to tinker and learn with it.. we still have the 1450 and mow weekly with it.. I still have my O in the back of the barn.. it smoked and didn't look too good but it was my first and I loved it!:beerchug:

My 1st was an Original that I got from my uncle. It was old and tired so I traded it in on a new 1210. At that time in my life I had no idea how cool an O was, to me it was just an old lawn mower. Live and learn.:bigthink:

Still have my first Cub Cadet (100) and my two other favorites (1450 & 784). I suppose I could let my 105, 129 go if the time and price was right. I got no big decision needed at this time.

My first Cub was an O that I rode around like a go-kart. When the clutch went out it got sent to the junkyard and I found a 70 to replace it, the 70 got sold to some other kids and they beat on it for a while and blew it up. My next cub didn't come along for another 12 years or so, it was a 169 but I sold it before I knew how rare it was. The first Cub I bought and used to mow at my own house was a 100 that I eventually sold to a friend's dad, he was using it to mow a bank and flipped it, surprisingly after barrel rolling down a big hill the only thing that happened to it was a bent steering wheel.

A 2072 with a 60 in deck and 450 blower. I do regret selling that set up.:bash:

My first Cub was a 782D, found on my wife's relative's farm while helping to prepare for the estate auction about three years ago. After a total restoration, playing with it around the house, adding a turbocharger and taking it to a few shows, I made the mistake of showing it to a close friend visiting from Georgia. He and his son fell in love with it and made more than a fair offer to buy it. He still has it. A dozen other Cubs have helped fill the void!
