Enforcer 54 hyrdos air locked?
 

Drained the fluid in each hydrostatic transmission on my Cub Cadet Enforcer 54. Around 4qts drained. Replaced the filters and went to fill it back but only got about 1qt in before the reservoir was full. Over a few days I got about another 1qt in but neither wheel will turn now. What am I missing?

So how much fluid does the manual says it takes? Was the 4 quarts from each or total.

What filter and oil are you using. Is this the first time you have done it yourself?

The 4qts was the total amount for both transmissions and yes it was my first time draining the fluid.

I did finally get it all working. Just running the motor with the hydros disengaged and exercising the drive for each hydro the fluid slowly worked its way into the hydros. I'd let it sit for a few hours, come back and add a bit more fluid. Eventually, got enough fluid in where power to each wheel returned. Repeated the process several times after driving the mower until I finally got all the fluid back in.
