Is an 1100 rare or worth anything
I found a cub cadet 1100 it looks perfect and has the pto in a box it’s all original . What should I offer the guy or is it not worth getting

They were the "affordable" mower models. Had a peerless transmission and Briggs (I think) engine. Seems like I see them less often, but being a budget model, I doubt there was much desire for them 2nd hand. So many were likely scrapped.
What do you plan on doing with it? |
Those aren't really a desirable model, if it's nice it's probably worth $300 or less.

My friend recently just got one, but his is repowered by a Briggs 8. Anyhow, his mower works and there are no problems. This model can be considered IH's first LGT by many. I feel by today's standards, the trans is a good one, and has been used in many other brand as well. His has the aluminum grill housing, and he got it for free! I guess what it all could boil down to is what your use for it would be. Can still mow, and run a snow plow.
Actually, there is a "What's It Worth" section here at OCC, where you may get more information to your question. |
I have one of those 1100s and they are actually a pretty decent mower they do have an 11hp briggs and peerless transaxle however it was still built by IH. In my opionion the 1100 was a cheaper built machine in its day but it is still better built than any of these new plastic mowers available today.

I was just wondering if it was worth my money I knew they were cheaper but I’d rather stick my money into redoing my 73

There has been one listed on CL near me for over a year. Still unsold. Still $500.
