Just another little project

Well, I never seen one of these and one came up for sale on another site about 6 months ago so I just had to have it. She's kind of rough but she's a legit 1914. I bet there aren't many Sims cabs in Georgia but now there is one more.
Attachment 93444 Attachment 93445 And it has that funky rear pto switch on the tunnel cover. Attachment 93446 It was a package deal with 2 old skool Haban's. No front casters on the early ones and this one looks to be in pretty good condition. Attachment 93447 :beerchug:Power angle 401 Haban blade....that will come in handy with the massive snow storms we get here. Look at that massive cylinder. Attachment 93448 Attachment 93449 I'm not sure if these were OEM or not, I'm thinking no. Attachment 93450 I believe my Onan may need some repair....it runs like crap, pukes oil everywhere and the tins & air cleaner are missing.:beerchug: Attachment 93451 Liz & I drove 776 miles round trip up to the Lawn & Garden Tractor Extravaganza in Evansville, IN to meet the po John & his wife. Great couple with a killer Renegade RV. I'm very happy with it and I plan on doing a complete resto on it....after the shop gets built.:biggrin2: It will be powered with an Onan.....how it should be.:BlahBlah: |
I see how it is Todd! Sneaking up to my backyard and getting your tractors now! :banned::BlahBlah:
Seriously good find! I don't know what a Georgia guy needs a Simms cab for though. :biggrin2: I really wanted to go to that show, and I wish I knew you were going to be that close. Evansville is just a couple hours away from me. That's where I picked up my 982. Congrats on the tractor and attachments! Good to see this 1912 went to a home where it will get fixed up right! :beerchug: |
Good find! Just a point of interest, the serial tag location on the early Habans is also different than the ones on a next generation deck as well. I'm kind of like Jon, what the heck you gonna do with a cab in that heat and humidity? You know, its time for somebody to put AC on a lawn mower, and that somebody could be YOU!:biggrin2:

That is very nice Mr. Oak, I like the idea of AC, Maybe you can make the AC heat in the cold ,cold winters you have down there.

Nice acquisition!!:beerchug:

:bigthink: and he said it's a 1914. Nice looking tractor Oak... aside from all that oil puking... a familiar issue for me. |
Looks like a good deal.
Todd is the Onan guy now.:biggrin2: |
