So I’m on vacation this week , a staycation. Told my dear wife it would get painted when we bought it. She never liked the faded paint it looked bad so thought I’d try this.i know I’m gonna get reamed for this but it’s to late now. Will post pics tonight after it dry. Gotta go clean the gun and no I didn’t use magic paint from tractor supply.

Would have been better to rattle can it..... or leave it alone. Wore out paint looks better than a bad paint job.

I sprayed the outside of the paint shop at work with one of those and as a professional painter i can tell you it sprayed like crap and was horrible to clean. I couldn't imagine how bad it will be to clean enamel out of.

I new you’d chime in Tim. But it had this other gun for detail work

I’ve painted with one and it’s more of a texture gun for interior walls of your house etc. nothing beats an hvlp or at least an old school binks gun for what we do to these cubs.

Good or bad results, lets see some pics! There is nothing wrong with trying to protect and refurbish your Cadet, regardless of how you do it. I've always painted bigger equipment with Taiwan copies of the old Binks guns. You can do rather nice jobs with rattle cans if you buy good paint and try to prep reasonably well. Of course nothing beats pro equipment and skills.

Funny Wagner painting tale. I got real energetic and decided to paint some rooms in the house. Started with the bathroom. Bought me one of those Wagner power rollers. Lets just say that thing was a slave driver. I couldn't hardly keep up as fast as it wanted to put the paint out. And dragging all that hose and tubing around got heavy quick. Must have took a 1/2 hr to get it all clean. Told some guys at work about it and they all laughed, couple of them had been the same route. Mine got put in the next yard sale!

Well guys here it is. The post was just for laughs. I got almost across the back with 1 1/2 gallons. And guys I would never touch my cubs with one of these guns. Sorry if I upset anybody. 😁

House looks good! When I read your first post, I noticed you didn't say what you were painting, but I (along with everyone else) assumed you meant one of your Cubs.

And I was going to say, after reading his first post. He never said what he was painting. I was thinking a fence, or something wood.:biggrin2:
