1872 rear

Trying to reassemble my rear end after fixing broken bolts. When I bolt the pump to the rear I can not turn the diff? Both the pump output and the diff will spin separate. Is this normal, what am I doing wrong or missing?

Yep they don't turn when they are all together, relax.
