The PPG training facility is having an open house with free food in October. I've been there before and it's a nice place with some impressive equipment.

Who is Charles Hutton?

He's the guy that runs the training center now. The guy that ran it before use to work here and learned to paint from my Dad at the same time I was learning to paint, that was about 20yrs ago. I remember when I went to the training center to get certified and he was the instructor for the class, it was fun to mess with him, he'd be doing a demonstration and I'd telling him not to run it, I think I made him nervous.:biggrin2:

Charley Hutton was Boyd Coddington's lead painter until he left Boyd's shop and joined forces with Chip Foose. He is often seen on various automotive restoration and hot rod shows on TV, and is considered by some as one of america's top auto painters. He has received the Ridler Award for his paint work on several show cars.

I guess he's not the guy running the training center then. I asked the same question to the delivery driver and that's who told me that, I guess you can't trust the word of a delivery driver.
