Mower blades for Haban 190-374-100
I did find some blades they say are Hi-Lift, fine. I am hoping someone can tell me where they have purchased Gator blades for this deck.

I use Gator P/N 96-346 on my 60" Haban. They are the correct length, hole size and offset but a little too wide; 2 1/2" wide vs. 2" required. I machine the Gator blades equally on both sides in the spindle mount area to fit.
I went through the Gator catalog by the required dimensions and this was the best fit available. |
Hey Steve. From Midland I see. Saginaw here. What kind of cub do you have with your 60" haban?
delikocc - So how are the gators? I also heard the only way to make them fit is to grind them down. My 60" haban doesn't mulch well at all. If I had to guess it wasn't designed to mulch. I do have a mulch plug but it would just clog up behind me if I used it. My neighbor has a JD and he can cut grass that's twice as long as mine and it mulches great. I have a couple thick spots that I either have to go over again, or use a lawn sweeper on. |

delikocc - Do the gator blades work well, i.e. better than the regular blades at reducing the discharge size? On my 50" deck w/gator blades I noticed that it wasn't necessary to sweep nearly as much as with regular blades. |

I love the Gators on the Haban; been using them about four years. Not the same as a mulching deck, but the size of the clippings is definitely reduced. I'd say at least half the size of the clippings with regular blades.
An SGT with power steering and a 60" Haban with gator blades is a joy to mow with. |
