Tire Question to all
Hello to all,
This may be a stupid question, but, I will ask anyway. I am ready to purchase new tires for my 1650 and want to install Carlisle Tru-Power ag tires on the back for traction while mowing my back hill. However, can anyone tell me if these tires tear up the grass like I have heard. I do need good traction for my initial start up the hill and the ordinary tires on the tractor spin like crazy. All suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Best regards, Jeff :beerchug: |
AGs don't tear up your grass unless you mow after 6" of rain or your yard is a swamp. Some people say they leave indentations in the ground, but I've never had this problem with AGs on a CC, and only in the spring when the ground is really wet with larger tractors.

Thanks Matt
Matt,
Thanks for your reply and your experience with these tires. I am used to an old Farmall and Deere on my Granddad's farm and remember the rutts the tractor tires would leave in the ground. :biggrin2.gif:I am happy to hear I will be in good shape with these tires on a garden tractor. Come spring...I use the push mower. Thanks again. I'll post a picture when I get them mounted. Jeff |
