Someone has their data wrong,,,
a 3" steel ball weighs 31 pounds,, not 2 pounds,,,

A 1 1/4 inch steel ball weighs about 2 pounds,,, :bigthink:

Obviously they didn't care about the car. But did it not occur to them anything hitting your car hard enough to total it could kill you? I'd have pulled into someone's yard if I had to, anything to get in the clear.

According to this chart a 3" steel ball is just over 4 pounds-

maybe I am wrong, I used some on line converter to calculate the volume,,,

OOPS, I used diameter instead of radius,,,
14.14 cubic inches X 0.283 pounds per cubic inch,,, = 4 pounds,,,

The first # did seem a little high,,, :bigthink:

If they were gold, they would weigh 14.14 X 0.70 = 9.8 pounds

My Union shot cannonball (not for sure what it is made of) weighs 11 lbs and it it about 4 in. in diameter.

I watched that video and wondered to myself, if this guy had enough sense, to come in out of the rain. :biggrin2:

At triple the weight of steel I'm guessing lead or lead filled.

People are lucky those things were heavy enough to stay on the ground for the most part. Imagine one getting airborne enough to go through a windshield.
