New guy

Hello,

I've lurked several times before and finally made an account. To anyone on the Garage Journal I have the same handle there.

I'm a JR studying Aerospace Engineering at the U of I and I have a 1282 Cub Cadet. Combined we have about a dozen, all of which are narrow frames except for my 1282 and my brother's freshly acquired 1572 (which, after lurking for filter #s on here, inspired me to make an account).

Greetings!

As sad as this may be, I actually don't have pictures of any on my phone except for the 2007 GT1554 that was sold last spring.

My 1282 hasn't ventured out in about 2 years now; I have no need to mow with it and I used to put the plow & chains on in the winter but it isn't really necessary when your truck has a plow.

When I was younger I got to plow a LOT of snow with that 1282 though. My dad didn't always have a truck plow and for light snow CCs are excellent for not ripping all the gravel off of your yet to freeze driveway (unlike skidsteers).
It also used to be my primary mode of transportation before I had a license (I live in a rural area).

Was the 1572 the one listed in Capron?
I'm on GJ too. It's another of my favorite forums.

I think so. I haven't talked to him on the phone yet, just pictures lol.
I also ordered every filter for him from NAPA; believe it or not the Marengo branch had EVERY SINGLE ONE in stock.
