450 snow thrower grease amount?
I have a 450 45" snow thrower I bought last summer. The manual tells what type of grease and how much each housing holds when dry and how often to grease them but not how much grease at that time.
I see no way of being able to know how much grease is all ready in either housing. So how do you know you have enough? If you put to much in will it push past the seals? |

First, welcome to OCC.... :Welcome2:
I do not have the 450 snow blower, so my response is based upon information as opposed to experience. You are correct, I have scoured several sources for the 190-450-100 Operator's Manual and it does NOT say how to check. Attached is the excerpt. I am hoping some member(s) with 450 snow blowers will chime in on this subject. |
My fear would be I don't have enough or I have too much. Of course I could take it apart and start fresh but even then for following years to come I would still not know.
Maybe I am overcomplicating this? |
