Cable placement?
 

Trying to get the 1250 going, the throttle and choke will not cooperate. Don't know if they're hooked up right. Which hole should the throttle be in?

The cable goes through the allen head bolt on the top. It's prolly a slotted head screw on yours.

Mine doesn't have one of those. The cable was run straight to the arm.

To what arm? Picture please...

People have told you this before, myself included. The Parts Lookup Tab at the top of the page is "your friend". The TP-2379 service manual that you can download for FREE, is in the Technical Library Section.

Check them out and figure out what is missing.

Well, I just stuck the cable through this hole. The throttle works okay. Just need to run it.

Ok. So you're just missing the bolt and nut. You should be able to make something up to replace that.

a lot of them didn't have the bolt to put the cable through . they have the z bend on the cable and go through the small hole in the lever. if I remember correctly the end of the choke rod with the offset goes at the carb.

One thing I did was move the spring one hole farther down on the arm as the hole was twice the size it was supposed to be, which allowed it to move on the arm and that would make the governor stay at full throttle.
