Well, just about finished with the plow! My 1 issue, is I dont like the length(I hade this piece laying around and didnt feel like cutting it, now i do)its about 44' feom the tractor ! I guess its not really a big deal, just might get in the way when I put it inside, or when storing it. Then again it comes apart by pulling 1 pin! I think im gonna cut it down to about 23" but im not sure. Pro's and con's guys! Im thinking with it being longer, its gonna give it a bit more down pressure, as it will be heavy wayyyyy out there !! Not that it will make that much differance. Well what ya thnk guy's, leave it or whack it down ?

you might want to cut it down in length. it will be easier to maneuver around obstacles and what not without having to worry about front clearance as much as it would be closer to the tractor.

Yea, cut it. But you should have it out far enuff that you can angle the blade without toutching the tires. I thought you hooked up a plow, but its a push-blade instead. How does that blade work any ways?:American Flag 1:

I should have said snow plow or push blade . I havnt tried it yet ,so im not sure. maneuver ability is not a concern, i really dont think it will get much use this winter as it is really to small, I also have a QA42a im gonna put on another 123, like I said, basically around the outdoor boiler and wood pile and the sled shed, they really are too small, Im pretty much doing it for something to have just in case, absolutly last resort, and something to screw around with!!! personally I would like to have snow about 10 months out of the yr, i dont care for 70 degree weather at all, 50 or below is much better! anyway, my driveway is about 800' long , i sometimes plow it at midnight (with the plow truck) and by 4 am its drifted in and takes me atleast an hr just to get a hole open big enough to get my truck out and by the time my wife leaves at 7 am , it is just about closed back again, when I get home from work, I have to park on the road and fight my way to the plow truck, and battle it all over just to get it open enough to get to the house !! I need to get a Big blower or a loader, but, all in time !!

Shorten it. With those POS ribbed front tires and slippery winter conditions, you probably won't be able to steer at all the way it is right now. It won't have any more down pressure because the blade portion weighs essentially the same whether the rest of it is short or long. All the length does is make it 'feel' heavier and harder to lift. With it that long, you'll bend/twist the frame if you hit something, especially since it doesn't appear to be spring trip. There should be some sort of support going back to the rockshaft like on the OEM blades. From what I can see in the picture, it's only attached to the 4 mule drive bolt holes, and that is not enough.

there is nothing to the rockshaft, im gonna take 1 off of 1 of the other undercarriages or 2 or come up with something else and attach it on, and I will get some different tires before i use it this winter there are no springs on the back, as I said, im sure it will probably not see much use, but ya never no, maybe we will only get a couple inc of snow at a time this year with no blowing, lol. Instead of 18" and 50mph wind , in about 6 hrs!
